Message text I agree with Paolo on this one, in the sense that these rules should be an option. The real strenght of Blue Max is its immediacy and quickness. I played Canvas eagles once, and I think that, while it is a way better simulation than Blue max, it is way slower game.
So, my opinion is: make Canvas eagle an option.
Oh, and about the difference of speed for the same move, flying_neko has said it all (especially about the turbulence...   )
