Beg your pardon: are you seriously stating that the Camel can have any chance agains a Fokker D. VII? There is a problem with the game as it is set up on this site, and in the second edition. The board is too large. In the first edition the board was shaped like a hex, truncated on the left and right side. The start lines for the two sides are only 7 hexes apart and the grain ran from the Allied to the German side. Something like the 2nd ed. map cut (hex shaped) at the blue and red start lines?
Now I understand! Sure on a 8x8 board odds are all different.
I have also to admit that now I wonder how can a SPAD XIII or a PFALZ D. XII stand any chance...
But I'm glad that my row of test games, that on a 12x10 board aren't going very well for the Camel, deserve a second try on a 8x8 board...
Perhaps the webmasters could do the original board or at least widen the 8x8 to 8x12. Good idea... what about it, webmasters?
I am always heartend by the fact that although the game is over 20 years old, it is still being played while its contemporary flying games gather dust on a closet shelf. No doubt is a catching game, actually the only "simulation" game, apart Risk!, that I saw girls play and enjoy.
I always like the ego-boo. Thank you You're welcome. |
