I have to say it doesn't make much of a sense to me. Your squadron only sends a single pilot any time? And other pilots on your side? Are they also single representatives of other squadrons?
Better leave squadrons out, yet.
2) Personal Rank should be per kills without dead! Falconfab shot down 12 planes and could be first, afterthere is shot down and he go at bottom... that pilot isn't the top ace in skies, if you want could be a memory box with the top ace of the war.
That sounds better.
Now, a final word on the subject.
A player should have his entry in the list more or less like this:

Where "Actual" is the number of kills he achieved after last death, "Total" is the total number of kills since he started, and "Best" is the longest record he achieved between deaths.
This until pilots (separated from players) will be implemented. Thereafter there will be a pilots rank, with the indication of the owning player. And that will (hopefully) settle the matter.
