Ooww.. I read that he, after been wounded, loose conscious and regain when he was really near to the ground. Then he manage to land, destroying some telegraph wire and wrecking his plane. I'm going to verify it, maybe I didn't remember well.

I am really interested in it, can you say me where can I find it ? I read a diary from Richtofen , printed from an online version, taken at http://www.theaerodrome.com I found there, if u are interested, part of diary/biography/books of Rickembacker and Lufbery and some other pilots.
I also found a really interesting online biography on Baracca's kills. I am going to tell it as soon as I retrieve the link !
That's not all. Some years ago I went into the emeroteca (italian word) of my city's library. Then I look for 1915-1918 papers, and found "Il popolo d'Italia" (uhmm.. i'm not sure about that), they have paper day-by-day, so you can follow the war really well. I scanned three or four articles of Baracca's death, and one about Richtofen. now it is forbidden to scan or photocopy 'cause they say you can damage the paper.
Send me your (and everybody is interested) mail @ zifnow@yahoo.com , I'll sent you those articles, maybe you are interested.
ciao ! |
