Message text I agree again !! While it is true that, generally speaking, allied planes had a greater autonomy then German ones, this would not automatically reflect on such a dire fuel differencies in a chance encounter between two enemy patrols.
While fuel is surely needed in the game to prevent top speed manouvers all the time, to limit the lenght of the game and to add some tactical flavour, may be we could think about changing some of the initial values.
Without being too radical, it could be enough to raise the starting fuel value for Fokkers (both Dr. I and D VII) fron 37 to 45 (which is the starting value for most German planes) and to lower the monstrous initial value of the Snipe from 67 to something like 55.
I say it again: I AM STRONGLY AGAINST ANY RULE CHANGE. BM is a very balanced game, and any rule change would probably result in some unbalancement.
Here however, I am only speaking about some slight change in initial stats of only 3 (albeit quite popular) planes, a change that seems to also meet some degree of approval from the original game designer.
