In principle, a plane with good manoeuvres but bad stability or one gun ought to be MUCH better than a plane with very few manouevres but good stability and two guns. neko
Why ??
In reality (and in the game too) an Se5a was better than a Fokker DrI, even if less maneuverable. The same for Fokker DVII, not maneuverable as DrI, but anyway far better.
The only reason for DrI to be so beloved and famous are M.Von Richtofen and Werner Voss, and anyway even them achieved most of their victories with other planes, such Albatros DIII.
The fact that a plane is really maneuverable doesnt mean its a good plane. And the triplanes (DrI and Sopwith) went obsolete in "few" months after their release. |
