Hi guys, it's time for a new (and fast?) tournament! I hope all the existing squadrons will join it, it could also be the right occasion to create new ones. The starting target is 8 squadrons, otherwise the tournament won't be played. If you are interested, drop me a line in this thread.
Bye

THE RULES

[1] Tournament description

This will be a 5 vs 5 direct elimination tournament, in the first turn squadrons will be matched according to their average kills/deaths ratio (stronger squadrons will fight against weaker ones).

[2] Game setup

All the games will be played twice (and simultaneously) on a 12x10 map, advanced rules, default planes placement. Every scenario is allowed: in the first game one squadron choose the scenario and the other choose planes, then viceversa in the second game. The winning criteria will be calculated on the sum of these games results.

[3] Winning criteria

At the end of the two games, will pass the turn the team that shot down more planes (double or more shot downs count anyway as one). If the result will be a draw will pass the turn the squadron that scored more points.

[4] Exit penalities:

[4.1] Wrong side exit is not allowed. Any plane exiting from the wrong side, also forced by a special damage, will be counted as shot down.

[4.2] Correct side exit is allowed without penalties under the following conditions:

[4.2.a] engine broken
[4.2.b] no machine-guns
[4.2.c] less than 5 points of fuel remaining

[4.3] Otherwise a plane will be counted as an half shot down.

[5] Squadron subscription/BOLD]

[5.1] Only squadron subscriptions will be accepted, if you have a squadron you're welcome, otherwise ask your friends here but please don't repeat the mistakes done with TdN. We want only resolute players that play regularly here, the keyword is NO DELAYS.

[5.2] This will be a 5 vs 5 tournament, but you can subscribe up to 7 players per squadron (even if you manage to play only with 5 pilots, I suggest you to contact one or more players to assure you at least one reserve in the case of need). The team average kills/deaths ratio will be counted on the best 5 pilots.

[5.3] No substitutions will be allowed during the tournament, if a team won't be able to line up 5 pilots the remaining slots will be filled with ghost players that will immediately exit from the map, leaving the squadron outnumbered.

[5.4] You can choose your best line up before each single game.

[6] The Winner

The winning squadron will be the "defender" of the title in the case of a second tournament edition, and it will be automatically qualified for the finals!

[7] Tournament management

[7.1] Each player must give his e-mail address (and check it regularly!)

[7.2] The scoreboard will be posted on an internet page. All I ask you is to send me a mail when a game starts with the game number, and a mail when a game ends with the game result.

[7.3] All the players must be contacted via mail and forum, so always check them for new games.
