when she asks what you're doing on that PC, tell her you're chatting with a 17-year-old beauty queen you met in a topless bar, who desperately fell in love with you and won't stop pestering you via email. Watch your wife's eyebrow rise with her "I know you're kidding" look, and enjoy the subsequent peace.
tell her you're learning the basics of flying in case the National Guard needs you to make "war on terror" (this applies only in the US, in the rest of the world, just tell her how much a commercial pilot makes per month)
slowly try to insinuate the concept that WWI pilots were chivalrous gorgeous romantic men of another age and that you are trying to emulate them. Don't overdo this or she may start to wonder whether chivalrous gorgeous romantic men of another age would actually have left her alone to play a PC game
