Message text I have been playing a game a little similar to this for over a year called SpaceWar online, which I highly recommend, which has had exactly the problem mentioned. There are ways to combat it that require active policing by the site operators, which is too much trouble.
I would recommend that players say that they would like to participate in the "campaign", and that the battles include 6 to 10 random players. This way it will minimize abuse.
lepres, your thought would be a fine addition to the existing system, but I still prefer the struggle to build up a good pilot! |
