I agree, but just for the record and to respond to Halbies comment, I'm currently in several games where I only have 1 engine, or 1 wing, or 1 tail box left. And on top of that, in a few games not only do I have only 1 box left but I'm facing three or four enemy planes by-my-self.
But getting back to hukuto_su's statement. After all, if we didn't play for the statistics, then Falconfab (and others) wouldn't be working so hard to stay at the top.
So, when are the statistics going to get reset?
