I love these, and would love to hear any Italian equivalents (or any from anywhere else for that matter!). The meaning implied by these metaphors translated to and from different languages make some lovely comparisons.
eg. In English, if somethings not clear we say "Its all Greek to me!". The German equivalent, translated into English is "I only understand railway station"!.
Others include: "6 of one and half a dozen of the other" in German is "Eight and Eight"
"Its a small world" in Spanish is "The world is a napkin".
