the REAL table IS 17x12 (not counting the missing hex near the corners)

ehm ... I forgot it was so wide ... but how can it be 12 hexes?!?! I remember that the map starts with a single hex from each side (placed in the centerline), then opens like a V ... it should have an odd number of hexes (I think 11).
maybe the idea of choosing height and lenght separately was better ...
