most of the recent games s/he plays are unbalanced and s/he always takes the stronger plane.
All scenarios where there is a bristol against one dancer is unbalanced in favour of the bristol. Simply do not join those games! They are a bore, and there is just NO WAY that the dancer can defeat the two-seater.
On the other hand, the scenario where there is one bristol against 3 albatross DIII can be interesting. On the Bristol, I would be satisfied only if I managed to shoot down at least two of the three Albatross and make the third one escape. Everything else is a victory for the germans, in my opinion.
Remember that at speed 3 the penalty on shooting, for the single gun and for deflection are such that the Bristol won't be able to yield any damage. Use this to yout advantage, because a Bristol which has to fly at speed 1 or 2 is very predictable!!!
Therefore, the greatest mistake the two-seater can make in that scenario is overestimating the observer: if the Albatrosses can catch the Bristol's tail the poor two-seater will either fly at speed 3 trying to get the enemies off its tail (and so it will just be a flying target) or risk to be hit very hard by the 'trosses guns!!!
So the Bristol should try to use its frontal gun (the back gun should be used only occasionally), and the Albatrosses should try to catch the Bristol's tail.
