Message text That scenario doesn't seem that out of balance to me. I win probably 2 out of 3 in the DVII on a 12x10 if I draw a good wingman. (and dont run out of fuel)
Board size may have just a big of impact on game balance as plane characteristics. Consider the the difference in New Models ( SE5a vs DVa ) on a 8x8 vs a 12x10. In the right hands the DVa will win 1 on 1 nearly everytime but on a 8x8 its almost impossible to lose in the DVa...
I feel bad playing that scenario on a 8x8 sometimes...but then I slip in behind him and blow his A-stability tail off! I love this game.
