Here are some point values I calculated for the different planes so that you can compare how equal the planes are:

Name Game Total
Nieuport 17 9
Spad 7 13
Sopwith Triplane 17
Bristol F2.B 22
SE 5A 30
Sopwith Camel 16
Spad 13 24
Sopwith Snipe 33
Albatross D.III 22
Albatross D.Va 24
Halberstadt CL.IIa 16
Fokker Dr. I 15
Pfalz D.IIIa 23
Fokker D. VII 31
S.S D.III 31
Pfalz D.XII 23
S.S. D.IV 31

The numbers are a mixture of damage boxes, firepower, maneuverability and fuel.
