Currently that could raise a problem.
You would be able to choose a plane from your opponent side, go to the plane placement screen, then close your browser windows before placing the plane.
That way you could see the enemy planes position, before choosing yours.
Actually we didn't see a solution to this problem, so decided to avoid showing other planes during the placement phase.
