| | Message text I case you didn't know, imdog has organized a campaign of sorts. The campaign begins in July 1917 (this month)and progresses one game month for every month of real time. Choice of available planes is restricted according to the Aircraft Availability Chart.
Every player can have up to 5 pilots in play at the same time. If one dies, you can create a new one to replace him. You are responsible for managing your pilots' records yourself via the "bmwwi" Yahoo!group that imdog has set up. You can play in as many or as few games as you are comfortable with.
The more players/pilots the better! (Hence this reminder/invitation to join the campaign.) Add a little flavor to your Blue Max games and have some fun too!! It's never too late to sign up and you can quit anytime you want. So why not give it a try?? (WARNING: Overly serious types should probably stay away....the emphasis here is on fun!!)
To sign up for the campaign and create your pilot(s), you need to join the bmwwi Yahoo!Group. (You need to do this yourself, don't just reply here.) Some less than perfect intructions are below. Hope they help! Also, please read the rules and readme file in the Yahoo!Groups' Files section.
To sign up, go to: http://login.yahoo.com
If you already have a Yahoo! I.D. & password enter that info. Otherwise, click where it says "sign up now". You don't need a Yahoo! email account to join. (Deselect the box for that if you don't want it!) Enter the appropriate information and you are ready to go.
You should be sent to a screen that has a link called "My Accounts", or "Manage", or a "Find a Group" search field. If not, go to http://groups.yahoo.com . Enter bmwwi in the search field and click on the link for that group.
From there, click where it says "Join". Then, imdog has to approve your membership. After that, you can create and edit your pilot accounts in the Database section under Players(Pilots).
If I have totally messed up these instructions, my humble apologies! Reply here or e-mail me and I will try to help. Good luck !
