Don't make the DVII any better please! It already slaugters the camel. I have played the senario with 6 camels against 4 DVIIs and the camels still get well beat. By turn 5 there is usually only 3 or 4 camels left! There has been many a time I have found myself all alone surrounded by 3 or 4 DvIIs with enough fuel to shoot me down! shame because I really like the Camel. My advice, if you want to go against the DVII then pick Spad XIII or SE5A. Leave the camel for the DR1, Albatross DIII or Pfalz IIIA.
But the Fokker DVII should historically be far better then the Camel. A small amount of extra fuel will not change its performance against dancers, but improve it with respect to runners, may be making it a serious opponet even for the Sopwith Snipe.
But may be, as Phil Hall noted, all that is needed is to shrink the maps, and move from 12 x 10 to 10 x 12 (the first number being horizontal lenght). You would have the same space to fight but a shorter distance from your safe side. |
