Ok, I am starting a new thread after reading the designer notes Phil Hall (many many thanks for the great game) posted on this forum.
http://www.youplay.it/play/forum_showmessage.asp?msgid=12777First of all, I would say that the game as it is, expecially without altitude rules is practically perfect.
However, from Phil notes it seems that the no consecutive R/L manouvers (except for C stability planes) rule was somehow introduced in the game together with other restrictions concerning restricted and non-repeatable manouvers.
It also seems that Phil tested it a lot, so maybe he can give us some comments on the opportunity of introducing it in the advanced version of the new BM our beloved sky masters are preparing.
In my opinion it will help making the Camel a slightly better plane and, in the same time, somehow limit the power of the dreadfull SSs (Siemens Schuckert and Sopwith Snipe).
Yes, they are supposed to be the best of the best, but they are also late war planes, that did not had a real impact and that have not been produced in great numbers... While everyone on this site seems to fly on a SS.
Second point concerns the Fuel of the Fokker DVII.
I completely second Phil arguments over fuel, and I see no point in tweaking, for instance, the Fokker DrI. But I am asking Phil if the Fokker DVII really had such a low endurance. To my limited knowledge, the Fokker DVII was reckoned as the better and most deadly plane in WW1 (and it's the only whose removal was explicitely named in some pace agreement). But with the actual fuel it has it is simply not able to chase any dancer towards the allied side and come back safely... And also consider that turning by 180 degrees with a Fokker DVII requires a 3 fuel move. Just five more fuel points would make a lot of difference,
I think.
Ok, I do not want to open a long rule change thread (so if you want other rule tweakings open your own thread

), as I said the game obviously works as it is, but I just would like Phil and the other pilots to comment on this two issues.
