Maybe it's good if I reply on the forums, so everyone who would like to make planes can read the replies...

There's some other problem with trasparent background: when I rotate and scale the planes the transparent background "merges" sligthly with the aircraft (otherway, the aircraft border become very sharp, with a strong saw effect). Any idea to avoid the problem?
There is no such problem for the 6 rotated aircrafts, only for the large "straight" one. In fact, the 6 rotated ones will be re-rotated automagically by a script if I manage to finish the re-work, and the script will take care of that by antialiasing against the blue map background. So just worry about the large straight one
No problem, I made single pixel-string, slightly anti-aliased, but in blue, bucause the string of original planes were blue. I'll make them in black in the future
They will probably not be visible in the small rotated images if they're blue, but they will look better on the large plane. Your choice
I use light gray, who is less evident on blue board; in the future I'll try to use the same blue of the board.
A suggestion: it would be better if you used a sharp, contrasting color which is not used on any plane as the transparent one, for example light green or pink. In any case, this is true only if your editor does not support transparency natively (the GIMP does). If you use the blue of the board, the blue DVII may have some problems.
In general, you should make sure that the whole plane is non-transparent, and that the whole background is (especially dangerous are leftover white pixels in some of the old planes, because they mess up with autocrop ).
Just my two cents.
Good work
