Sorry, but according to the rules you cannot tail while your plane is on fire.
Gents, I think I have noticed a difference in tailing between drawing the fire chit and rolling fire from a smoke chit. I dont have a match but I am keeping an eye out now. A bug may have creeped in when they partially fixed the 'fire-bug'.

Thanks Darken. I've been checking on this since you posted and I think your observations are exactly right. (If your plane is fire due to the fire chit - you can still tail, but if your plane is on fire due to smoke turning into fire - you can't tail.)
