There is a known problem with the fire/smoking phases order, that is almost impossible to fix with the current program version.
I'm the one working to the new Blue Max version code, and currently I'm rewriting the move/firing phase. The next step will be (re)implementing special damages, and so it will be fixed that problem.
Obviously rewriting the program code I am implementing several new improvement, and in the same time I am quite sure to be able including a lot of new bugs too
In the end there will be a new Beta testing phase, and after that Blue Max will be brand new, even your bug will be gone forever, and there will be automatic movement too for the disappeared players  .
As usual, there is no fixed deadline. Currently, as I already said, we are very busy here with a lot of extra-site (real life) activities, so it's really impossible having a fixed deadline.
On the other hand the site is going well now, and Blue Max, not counting some minor glitches, is very usable, so there is no reason to rush.
