the one chosen for the cobra tournament wont do cos it is just about who can conserve fuel best and all the players you mention are going to be very good at that!
yankee doodle is a possibility as the planes are very even but wont spin like tops to catch up when the fuel is low.
However i agree with you that late war is probably best, played both ways, as this gives good planes with a big enough range of manuveurs to keep it interesting and skill will become the paramount factor - oh and those damn dice rolls....... |
