Message text Hello!
We included the Siemens-Schukert D.I in our "Wings of War - Watch your back!" card game (currently under print, available at the end of the month or in early October). We don't agree with Canvas Falcon that gives the same statistics to the Nieuport 17 and the D.I: actually the latter was built with a metal frame covered by canvas, not in wood. It was sturdier and slower, probably because of the added weight. And so we depicted it in our game. But anyway, making it like the Ni.17 can be an acceptable approximation in Blue Max.
Historically, the thing works: the D.I was used mainly on the Russian front, where the Ni.17 was quite widely used.
May I ask the original source for the color scheme you used? The light gray ones are from the first production (we included a gray one and a camouflaged one), but this one seem to have additional markings. Is it possible to see a larger version of the drawing?
Thanks a lot!
Angiolillo
