Message text i've played 3 games so far, so this is just my first impression.
I like this game very much and it is fully understandable after just a few moves...but i fear it favours passive playing.Especially in games with 3 o 4 players i find the best tactic is to play it safe, taking the minimum risk ption and hoping in other people's mistakes.mansion version helps in removing loops i think, as you must discard moves which bring 2 or 3 vampires in your house, but still...
have you ever tought of reversing the scoring/end of game criteria? As the game is your primary goal is to avoid being hurt, not to hurt other players...hence the passive style of playing. If there are 3 players for example and 2 of them fight furiously each other, the third probably will be the winner. But what if the game ended when a player inflicts 8 damage (or more or less, i guess this could be changed) with self-inflicted damage added to other players' score or subtracted from your own? This way your goal would be to hunt down the other players before they reach the end-of-game score...in the example above, the third player would probably LOSE the game.
I expect you've already tought about this anyway...what do you think? |
