| | Message text Personally, I don't care for this scenario and will never play it as German and only rarely as Allied. To me it smacks of a turkey-shoot for the German. If the German had to get all of the N17s to win that would be one thing, but it seems too easy for the German to down one or two and then escape secure in his "victory against the odds".
Yes, there are a lot of these games being played. I think it is more a case of players wanting to take advantage of an unbalanced game while they can than it is popular acclaim for the scenario. "Hey, everyone else is doing it, why not me?" However, lately, it seems to me that it is taking longer for these games to fill up. Perhaps the popularity is beginning to wane some. I don't know.
As someone said earlier, much depends on the relative playing skills of the participants, the size of the map, and the type of set-up. To this I would like to add the version of the rules being used. The difficulty for the Nieuports go up quite a bit under the Standard rules, where the luck factor is reduced.
Frankly, the only "one against many" scenarios that I think are worth a darn are the Voss scenario, the 3-player Early War game, and the You Want To Live Forever? scenarios.
That's just my opinion though. If you like the He Fell... types of games, that's great. To each their own. Have fun!
