Message text I was aware waiting for such a reply, flying_neko. Of course, I agree that adult players don't feel compelled to play anything against their will. I speak for those guys, like me, who love simulation games and historical wargaming. BM isn't exactly a simulation, maybe it's much more like a boardgame which a "feel" of historical gaming. Well, I like that feel so much that I'm flying here at Youplay.it since last winter, every day when I can. Yet I don't feel I'm compelled in doing anything: it's only fun and the respect for our companions who I'm playing with. Fighting a deathmatch game into a cage could be fun. Flying fantasy planes could be fun either. I guess that could be fun also flying 9 Camels vs. 1 Borg Cube, but what then? What could you reply then to people asking for more reality in the rules? How do you deal with fuel and maneuver matters, when you're flying into a box? As an avid wargamer, I enjoyed very much discovering this site (my friend Oswald Boelcke talked me about it), because I liked BM and many other aircraft boardgames years ago. I play also sci-fi and fantasy, no problems with Crimson Skies and Full Thrust alike games. But truly I nested here for months playing Blue Max because I love this game AS IT IS. If you want a different game, I suggest you better to propose to the webmasters issuing a new different game into Youplay.it, not to change Blue Max to suit your tastes, Ok? I'm sorry to all readers for this long long and too heartly reply, as I wished this only as a theoretical discussion about BM's concepts, not to be critical at anyone, cage people included . Just this: if this would become a different game, please don't call it Blue Max anymore.
