we added many variations in Cartagena.
Now you can start games with 4 to 8 pirates each player on a 4, 6 or 8 tiles map.
The length of the map doeas not influence the strategy very much, but with different number of pawns the strategy completely change.
With fewer pawns it takes much longer to reach the boat and using the other player's pirates to draw cards become a great advantage. With many pirates this aspect is less important, but you have to be careful not to spread your pirates too much in order to give fewer possibility to other pirates to do long runs on the maps.
