Message text Correction, Voss' Triplane was in the scheme of Fokker streaked green over a base. Whether this base was light blue or plain faberic is the big debate. It very possible that it was streaked green over light blue (giving it a somewhat greyish appearance) becasue it was actually not a Dr1 but an F1 ("Fok Fl 103/17" to be exact). The first few Triplanes were F1's and not Dr1's. As for the engine cowling, well, I'm one of those that believe it to be the factory green with the white face. Mostly becasue the yellow doesn't make sense (no contrast) and also a mechanic in the Jasta doesn't recall Voss's plane with a yellow nose, but rather it was always in its factory finish. Except for the added face to the cowling (an idea from popular asian kites at the time).
