The Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici (Friends of Historical Planes Group) is a volunteers' association of air enthusiasts, pilots, journalists, collectors, historians, modellists and so on. It was founded 20 years ago. It recovered several Italian planes around the world (including a Savoia Marchetti S.79 in Lebanon, a Fiat Cr.42 in Sweden, a P.47 Tunderbolth under the sea, a Nardi FN. 305 in a gas pump in northern Italy) and it helped many museum to restore their old birds: last work has been accurately repainting the Fiat Cr.32 of the Italian Air Fortce Museum of Bracciano. We had also several WWI planes in our hands: we helped with the SVA at Vittoriale degli Italiani, the SPAD VII at Museo Baracca of Lugo di Romagna, the Bleriot XI and SPAD VII at IAF Museum of Bracciano, the Ansaldo Balilla at Museo del Risorgimento of Bergamo.
