Can someone please explain league scoring in WS&IM for me. In the simple 1-on-1 games the winner sometimes gets 3 and sometimes 4 but I can not for the life of me find the common thread. It is not related (as far as I can see) to point ratios, clearing the board, captures, etc. Is this just a buggy aspect of the game or is there a factor I am missing?

While you are explaining that; you may want to explain why I won the game by points but the League points were given to my opponents. See these leagues:

http://www.youplay.it/play/ws_GameMove.asp?GameID=433366

League rules state that 4 point can be had from a "total victory" where all the opponent's ships are detroyed; but I have never been awarded 4 points, regardless of how I have won games in League play. My guess it that there are some bugs in play here with the scoring.
Others have suggested that maybe the league scoring is ignoring points scored via captures during games, and hence giving the wrong player the win - this may well be part of the issue.
I have seen others awared 4 points for their victories, but I am not sure what the circumstances were in those games.
