While were on the topic of "classy" point scoring;
I was wondering what the community "school of thought" was on "target snatching" ?
For example: (this happened again just recently in a friendly competitive fashion but has raised my eyebrow too frequently of late.) Let's say, 2 pilots are squared off in a corner of the map away from the bulk action. (say 8 or 10 players)
-For 8 or 9 turns, chewing each other up.
Then "ZIP" seeing his opportunity, in dashes an undamaged "teammate" to score the easy kill, do a 180 and return to the main fray leaving you limping and trailing smoke, not to mention killess.
Is that a (shrug) "oh-well deal with it"-'cause I'm totally cool with the Mercenary mentality.
Or,.. is that a viable ethical expectation that could be made more concious through forum debate ? 'Cause, frankly I think it's chicken-s*#t, particularly when the situation becomes obvious due to dogfight duration and pilot to pilot dialogue.
I not gonna cry about, I just want input.

Nah - I play to win and I expect my fellow wingmen (and enemies) to do the same. In league games it is especially important to knock cripples out of the sky before they can escape..... not to mention how many times have each of us 'played dead' in a desperate situation to trick an enemy into a range zero overrun.
