I'd agree with Zarby, if one has been able to obtain a good fire solution, albeit without being able to fire ones guns, it'll make things somewhat easier the following turn when one actually gets them peashooters spraying.

Ehm, but if you care about realism, I should remind you that jammed guns do not unjam alone by magic. You have to perform a non restricted straight do do that. So you do not have exactly the time to take a good aim for the next turn.
