So that a game turn will not be suspended forever because one player has abandoned the game. Participants will be left with the decision "how long is too long" since a consensus is needed. This rule can't hurt.

Mmmh... I don't really like it...
You should also make differences according to the number of players: how do you manage a 1vs1 match?
One player could initiate a vote to kick the opponent and win automatically the game, or some "smart" players may arrange an agreement and play dirty tricks in scenarios with 3/4 players...

I would rather agree with lawtygr, with the player creating the match setting the automove time.

I would suggest that the automove is set to the number of days a player has been on YPI or 30, whichever is less, that way all the games hung up by first timers who never return after their first two moves end sooner but players who keep comming back have some buffer in case the pc blows up or whatever the issue is keeping them offline. I dislike the kickout rule because its going to cause personal issues, and that bothers me more then hung games, but not as much as when I get caught in a stall
