Is this correct / how is it possible please?

I believe I have solved the mystery of the Red Engine Critical!
Since the engine hits in question came from head-on shots, it is very possible that one, if not both, are really converted TAIL hits. The number part of the damage gets applied to the engine and the text part is ignored. So, if the actual chit was "1 Tail, must turn right 2 turns" it would be resolved as if it read "1 engine" in a head-on situation.
Maybe I should change my nick to Sherlock Holmes!
