Message text Being a 3 month old BM player, I can share my 1st ideas about how to progress into the gaming experience...
1. Play a lot of duels in standard or advanced mode: the turn rate is faster so you learn faster they are more balanced (i.a. new models on a 12x10, late war on a 8x8, middle war on a 8x8 is a little tough for the Camel, Yankee doodle..., etc) 2. Open the games in mirror so you learn the pros and cons of both planes at the same time 3. If you are lucky, experienced players will join your games and if you ask them politely, they give you a debriefing about your mistakes 4. Stick to one scenario until you know all the planes moves and typical sequences (like in chess). you can very often ask for a revenge, another opportunity to learn from your opponent. learn that stall is your ennemy learn to monitor your fuel learn to shift the fight toward your side for a quick exit if needed 5. If you have a good memory, try to remember each players favorite moves...
6. Once you feel comfortable with duels, try to join 4 players games. I've been a little too fast into big 10 players games to see myself shot down as fast... 7. Avoid the unbalanced games unless you are suicidal or playing on the winner side (1 Snipe can take a load of Dr1 on a 17x... map, the Bristol is too strong for an early war German plane, etc.)
I let this to be amended/corrected/continued by more experienced pilots...
Have fun |
