I will open a tournament game, and looking over a player user data I will know who has to move and who hasn't (I will also check tailing).
Then I will do the same check after 24 hours.
If a player will move in any other game but not in the tournament game, I will apply a 0.5 points (half shot down) penalty to his team.
The only problem I see with this is that many times when I (and some other pilots) have a chance at multiple tails and the person I am tailing moved I will often wait till the other optional tails have moved also. I do this to make that tail think I am tailing them, to make them think a little harder about the move they will make. The down side of this is that you can't join any new games untill that optional tail finnaly moves. This is purely a pyschological tactic that often works to your advantage when used right. So with the new rule that you wish to implement this may prevent pilots from utilizing this tactic or taking a penalty. in the end I guess it depends on which is more important? But mind you this is a tactic only available online, in the gameboard version everyone knows right away which tail you are chasing.
I don't know just a thought and my 2 Canadian cents Just wanted to bring this possible situation to your attention. Good day. and no matter what the final decision on this new rule I will abide by them.
