I think there are several fairly well balanced 4 player games. Some of the ones I like are: Bloody Summer, Stachel's First Dogfight, N.28 vs Pfalz D.III, and both of the Escort & Intercept scenarios. I like them also because, for the most part, the opposing planes aren't nearly identical as is the case with the Yankee Doodle match-up.
