I believe that FF mean that N17 is better than a dIII in a one-on-one dogfight (and, btw, I agree with him).
Also, if I've understood what are you saying, FF is one of the most correct player here. He usually create ten different "early war big scenario" games and join each game with a different plane. Obviously the games with German planes available are picked first by other players.
