Message text I absolutely agree with TNT, as I said in a previous post ...
Another point: I think there will not be great problems on creating games, but as we had a lot of delay in the 2G tournament, I ask ALL the players involved in Cobra Tournament to set the mail address in the user profile, and to send a mail to Blue_Dragon, to make easier all the organizing aspects!

3) Pilots on Round 1 will be matched according to their Kill/Deaths ratio: the pilot with the lowest ratio will fight against the second lowest, the third lowest with the fourth and so on.
Mmm, I think that we can do better: if we use this criteria round 1 will be extremely balanced, but this isn't the purpose of a tournament. In the first round, best players must fight against worst players, so if we are 32 we can use four groups to randomize the coupling using anyway a kill/death ratio criteria.
group A (from 1st to 8th) group B (from 9th to 16th) group C (from 17th to 24th) group D (from 25th to 32nd)
We extract names randomly and we put them in this scheme:
[R1.G1] A VS D [R1.G2] B VS C [R1.G3] A VS D [R1.G4] B VS C ... [R1.G15] A vs D [R1.G16] B vs C
then
[R2.G1] winner R1.G1 vs winner R1.G2 [R2.G2] winner R1.G3 vs winner R1.G4 ... [R2.G7] winner R1.G13 vs winner R1.G14 [R2.G8] winner R1.G15 vs winner R1.G16
If we do like that, two pilots of the first eight can't fight between them until turn 3. What do you think? |
