I live in Michigan. We go to the Pere Marquette river about 15 miles (as the crow flies) in from Ludington, (which is on Lake Michigan). We fly fish for mainly the king salmon on their spawning runs. Unreal. 20-30 pound fish on a 9' 9 weight fly rod with 8-10 lb lead. These things are runaway freight trains. My record for one fish was 17 jumps! Great fun. Of course landing them is the tough part.
